March 2013.
A record breaking cold March has made fishing very difficult with a prevailing cold easterly.
Similar to last month any break in the extreme cold weather lead to captures., with Adam Penning showing how its done with an impressive haul of six carp including 2 thirties, 3 high twenties and a 15lb VS fishery stockie on a 2 day session. Adam has recently set up a business offering private tuition, if any one is interested in honing their skills please contact adam.penning70@gmail.com. Mini Chilly’s made an appearance at a good winter weight of 36lb , congratulations to Paul Jarvis for this capture. The “Golden Common” weighed in at another good weight for this time of year, in peak condition at 33.08lb, an immaculate fish, well done Mr Bourner. Another eight carp were caught during the month. Understandably there have been few anglers braving the conditions. The weather has been so bad that we had to cancel the work parties, these will be reorganised shortly.Lets hope for a warmer April!!!
